Resolved Question: I have problems with my Sirius antenna?

I use Sirius Satellite radio in a room with North facing and West facing windows. The radio continuously cuts out, reads acquiring signal. I have the original antenna about the size of a pack of cigs. and opens up to 90 degrees or better. Is there a better antenna available or a trick to adjust the one that I have? I tried to contact Sirius but they refer me to service who is always unavailable. If it matters I live in Las Vegas Nv. I am an old Army radio operator but this on has me stumped.
